Christ the Creator

C

At times I have felt that the metaphorical mountains before me were too steep and too rugged to climb. At times I have felt that I was at an impasse-with no way to continue upward, despite my best efforts.

This week as I have studied the accounts of the creation, I realized that because Christ is the Creator of all things, He knows exactly how to climb and conquer my mountains.

If I really believe that He is the Creator of “worlds without number” (Moses 1:33), then I must also believe that He has sufficient power to heal my weaknesses. Compared to the grandiosity of His creations, what weighs me down is miniscule!

If He placed the planets into orbit, then He can empower me to do what is hard-even overwhelming.

If He made the sun and the moon, then He can also heal my wounds.

If He placed the stars in the firmament, then He can also cleanse my sins.

When I remember that Jesus Christ is the Great Creator, I know that He is mightier than all things.

He knows how all things work, He knows all truth, He has all power.

There is no mountain too tall for the Lord.
